Primary Responsibilities:

You will not be spending your summer fetching coffee or lunch for employees. This internship is the opportunity to learn more about the specialty food industry and get experience with a domestic and international sales team. In this paid internship you will be given a detailed plan for the summer with time set aside to learn more about each department of our business. The Internship role is responsible for completing the internship plan, taking on tasks including market research, developing one-pager promotional materials, and presenting to all of our Global team with their Final Internship Project.

Internship Overview:

This internship will follow the development of the candidate in each of the following parts of our business and industry.

  • Marketing development
  • Understanding of the USA Food Market
  • Understanding of the International Market
  • How Global helps support Account Management
  • Sales Operations development
  • Procurement development
  • IT development
  • Financial development & Understanding
  • HR/Office development

Qualifications / Additional Skills /Aptitude:

  • Strong Microsoft office data skills especially, Excel (Formulas, Pivot Tables, etc.)
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • College Degree in progress or completed with a major in Business, Marketing, or other relevant degrees.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of Customer Service or Sales experience is required.
  • Excellent customer service, grammar, verbal and writing skills.
  • Resourceful, results-oriented, and well-organized.
  • Comfortable performing multi-faceted tasks and projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, and flexible with both internal and external customers.
  • Be decisive and able to recognize and support the organization’s preferences and priorities.
  • Functions well in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel to office in Naperville, IL
