Junior Graphic Designer

JB Industries is looking for an energetic and motivated Junior Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team. JB is a 55+ year old leader in refrigeration tools and accessories. We invite you to join us and understand what makes JB and our industry special. This is a full-time position located in JB’s Aurora, IL office and reports directly to the Creative Director. This person will also engage with the Director of Marketing.

At JB Industries Marketing is about understanding our brand and our audiences — and building awareness about how our products/services can satisfy their needs. The Junior Graphic Designer will collaborate with the JB Marketing team with a variety of day-to-day activities that lead to the completion of projects and tasks.

We’re looking for a positive go-getter who can work collaboratively, roll up their sleeves, and come in each day with a “no job too big or too small” attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Design assets such as social media graphics, After Effects motion videos, and short-form videos for social media platforms
• Conceptualize visuals based on project requirements
• Work with the Creative Director to produce and ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
• Update JB website assets and content as needed with products, marketing information, campaigns, and images
• Assist with product photo editing and retouching
• Fulfill product image and data requests for customers
• Help maintain and organize digital marketing material files for the sales team
• Help gather and organize marketing items for industry events
• Other administrative duties as needed

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media or similar field
• At least 1 + years of experience at an agency or client-side setting
• Experience in campaign strategy and design
• Knowledge of social media platforms (including design specifications)
• Experience in Adobe video and motion graphics software
• Proficient in Mac-based environment
• High level of proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.
• Experience in WordPress is a plus.
• A complete portfolio of design examples demonstrating conceptual thinking and execution with a sound strategic approach
