Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury prêt-à-porter in a 1966 collection called ‘Rive Gauche’, synonymous with youth and freedom. This shift represented a first critical step in the modernization of fashion and revolutionized the socio- cultural landscape. In 1999, the luxury goods division of the Kering Group acquired Yves Saint Laurent and, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April 2016, continues to position the house at the summit of the luxury universe. Today, Saint Laurent collections include women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties, and eyewear.
Job Description
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Facilities Supervisor to join our West Coast team. The Facilities Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of our facilities, contributing to the overall success and efficiency of the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day facility operations, managing vendors, and maintaining a safe and functional work environment. The Facilities Supervisor will report to the Senior Facilities Manager as part of our dynamic team in Los Angeles, California.
ROLE
You will be an in-house expert of all store concepts, design, and equipment to anticipate and create a repair and maintenance strategy. You will also enforce established facility guidelines and procedures in accordance with group policies and law requirements as well as conduct regular store visits to ensure compliance.
MISSION
  • Coordinate and oversee the maintenance and repair of facilities, including HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any issues promptly.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers for facility-related services.
  • Obtain competitive quotes, negotiate contracts, and ensure the delivery of quality services.
  • Implement and enforced health and safety protocols to maintain a secure and compliant working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any potential hazards.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to plan and optimize office space.
  • Coordinate office relocations and renovations as needed.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans; coordinate and conduct regular drills to ensure the safety of all employees.
  • Assist in the development and management of the facilities budget; monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Spearhead and implement environmentally friendly practices within the facilities.
  • Oversee sustainable solutions for energy efficiency (BeeSense), waste reduction, and resource conservation.
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems; use ServiceChannel to manage workorder requests and vendors.
  • Work closely with operations and retail teams to ensure that the stores align with the brand’s vision and aesthetic standards.
  • Focus on creating an atmosphere that enhances the overall luxury shopping experience for clients.
  • Implement strategies to ensure that the physical environment aligns with the brand’s exclusivity and elegance.
  • Stay informed about local building codes, safety regulations, and other relevant compliance requirements.
  • Establish and maintain quality control measures for all facility-related services; regularly assess and evaluate the performance of vendors and service providers.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on the status of facilities and ongoing projects.
  • Foster clear communication channels with all stakeholders, addressing concerns and providing timely information.
PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4-5 years of experience in facility management or related role for multiple locations
  • Basic understanding of blueprints or store plans.
  • Experience in luxury retail a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • 4 days in office.
  • Strong understanding of building systems and maintenance processes.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
