As a Manager in Environmental Health and Safety, you will play a crucial role in driving policies that promote employee well-being and maintain a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Work Safety Program:
- Lead and oversee the implementation of comprehensive safety programs.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and mitigate safety, health, and environmental risks.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety procedures.
- Recordkeeping and Compliance:
- Maintain safety data sheets and ensure accessibility as needed.
- Manage OSHA recordkeeping and EPA recordkeeping as required.
- Oversee Workers' Compensation processes.
- Communication and Administration:
- Draft detailed inspection reports to document findings.
- Effectively communicate safety administration protocols to company employees.
- Administer and report on the work safety program.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline required.
- Preferred: Master’s degree desirable.
- Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years in Safety, preferably in a construction environment.
- Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient in computer skills including Windows, MS Word, Excel, Timberline, internet, and PowerPoint.
- Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations, safety processes, and ethical practices.
- Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks, sit for long periods, and travel as required.
- Excellent English communication skills, including verbal and written.
- Mathematical abilities for statistics and ratio analysis.
Working Conditions:
- Office/Field-based role with potential vehicle and air travel as required.
- Site visits to construction locations with varying environmental conditions.
