Safety Director

Patrol Protect Secure, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Director to join our team. As the Safety Director, you will be responsible for developing, overseeing, and implementing safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This is a critical role that requires strong knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to develop and implement effective safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
• Analyze data and trends to identify areas of concern and develop strategies for improvement
• Provide training and education on safety topics to employees at all levels
• Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness
• Monitor and analyze safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement and provide employee feedback
• Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving overall safety performance
• Conduct risk assessments for new equipment, processes, and facilities
• Coordinate with external agencies or consultants, as necessary
• Stay up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices
• Commitment to continuously improving safety standards for a decentralized workforce

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field (preferred)
• 10+ years' experience developing and implementing risk management programs and procedures
• Proven experience as a Safety Director or similar role
• Strong background in occupational health and safety, risk management, and accident prevention.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers compensation laws, and environmental health and safety (EHS) standards
• Track record of developing & implementing safety plans, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Experience increasing safety awareness
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis
• Proven performer conducting monthly safety inspections and audits
• Ability to effectively communicate with remote employee groups; excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
• CPR certification (required)
• Ability to develop safety manuals and training materials and deliver effective training sessions
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence others and drive change
• Background in law enforcement, military, or DOD is preferred, as company employs armed personnel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $92,000.00 - $97,000.00 per year
