We are looking for an experienced Safety Director to join our oilfield service company. In this role, you'll be responsible for creating and overseeing health and safety protocols for the company, and ensuring that staff members are properly informed regarding emergency preparedness, use of protective equipment, and accident protocol.
To ensure success as a Safety Director, you should display exceptional knowledge of company safety policies and relevant occupational safety and health administration (OSHA) standards. Ultimately, an outstanding Safety Director should be able to identify opportunities to minimize workplace health hazards quickly and efficiently.
Duties:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
-Oversee and implement necessary procedures to maintain new and existing customer compliance
- Investigate accidents and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Oversee occupational health programs to promote employee well-being and prevent work-related illnesses.
- Provide training and development programs on safety protocols, emergency response, first aid, CPR, and other relevant topics.
- Maintain records of incidents, injuries, and safety performance metrics for reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with management to address safety concerns and ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
-Maintain safety platforms: ISN/Veriforce/PEC/TPS Alert (and any others that are required)
-Permit management for any necessary permits for job sites
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in safety management with knowledge of EPA regulations, workers compensation laws, and OSHA requirements.
- Certification in CPR, first aid, and training development is preferred.
-Instructor certification for Safe land, H2S
-TCEQ Air permitting experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough investigations and root cause analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and presenting safety information.
- Ability to fabricate solutions to improve workplace safety measures effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
