ISO Experienced fabricator. Small Boulder shop is looking for an experienced structural welder/fabricator interested in taking on work on a project by project basis. Very flexible hours. We do an eclectic mix of projects ranging from gates, fences and railings, to furniture, to sanitary stainless steel. For in-shop work, clean comfortable work environment. Will have a helper/junior-level welder available for prep, and support on jobs.
Must have skills:
- Stick, and MIG welding on carbon steel - must be able to consistently run clean good looking beads. Grinding welds is a no-go for our projects.
- Blueprint reading - must be able to read blue prints
- Clean work habits - must be able to operate efficiently in a relatively small shop, without leaving a trail of debris. Your work must also progress projects in a clean manner. This means you know the value of cleaning and prepping material in the right ways to ensure success, and also to aid in keeping the work environment clean.
- Consistent weekly hours - you can pretty much set your schedule but we need you to complete weekly bench marks. You must show up to work to keep the position.
Nice to have skills:
- TIG Welding with 18-8 stainless steels.
- CAD/Design Skills.
- Woodworking - using a table saw, planer and joiner.
- CNC Plasma Cutter Operation
- A background in landcaping
Small metal fab shop in Boulder seeks fabricator with structural experience. We have been busy with residential new builds and remodels, as well as with commercial remodels. We also work in landscaping offering gates and railings, as well as interior railings. As the business owner and lead welder I have been doing all of the work. I have recently become disabled, and out of necessity need to hire someone to step in as the lead on our projects. We have a very good junior-level/welders helper as support/prep. Ideal candidate will be independent and HIGHLY accountable for their time, and for that of junior.
