Posting Summary:
We are looking for a Safety Manager to join our Operations Team in Houston, TX. The Safety Manager is responsible for managing Company Safety policies and procedures in both manufacturing and distribution setting across multiple facilities in the U.S. Proactively applies knowledge of safety regulations/standards, leads the general health, safety and loss control initiative and knowledge of Company products and services.

Responsibilities:
· Plans, organizes, implements, and administers comprehensive risk management and safety programs for Visual Comfort & Co.
· Plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
· Manage and implement the Accident/Exposure Reporting and Investigation program. Ensure the program clearly explains the methods and practices for reporting and investigating accidents/exposures; communicate risks to management.
· Reviewing existing policies and procedures to ensure they are up to date and align with all operational areas.
· Performing safety audits and physically inspecting all work areas and jobsites to identify possible safety issues to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, and identify corrective actions.
· Conducting risk assessments to minimize workplace accidents, occupational illnesses, or long-term health hazards.
· Preparing monthly or annual safety reports and presenting the information to the appropriate audiences.
· Collaborating with management to plan and implement a safety protocol budget.
· Review, monitor, and manage the Worker’s Compensation Claims and process. Managing the early return to work and modified duty program, monitoring, and analyzing accident and injury trends, performing hazard analysis.
· Delivers training and coaching to establish clear understanding by all Team Members on safety expectations.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or a related field or equivalent work in warehousing, logistics, distribution or manufacturing.
· A minimum of 7 to 10 years’ experience.
· Ability to travel 50% of the time to facilities and retail centers in the U.S (Houston, Texas, Skokie, Illinois, Greer, South Carolina and Las Vegas, Nevada).
· Professional Certification (Certified Safety Professional, or Certified Industrial Hygienist) or ability to obtain within one year.
· Experience using Safety Management Systems
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High level of comfort developing and delivering training and motivational presentations to all levels of associates
· Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills.
· Must be able to fluently read, write and speak in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bilingual in Spanish

Pay: From $130,000.00 per year
