The Safety Coordinator administratively supports programs leading to a sustainable safety culture at Carlson & Stewart Refrigeration Inc. Reporting to the HR Manager, in partnership with internal stakeholders, this role will provide administrative support for safety-related initiatives by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. This is salary exempt role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promotes a Safety-First culture.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company safety programs.
- Investigate and analyze all near misses, accident investigations, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Manages and completes the OSHA 300 process.
- Monitor with HR all first reports of injuries, lost-time injuries, and worker’s compensation claims.
- Manages vehicle safety management program.
- Manages all customer third party pre-qualification electronic safety programs.
- Keeps managers informed of known actions, written or verbal, which may affect the ability to successfully perform assignments or adversely affect company operations.
- Conducts site safety audits on a regular basis, including pre and post project depending on the length of the project.
- Coordinates and maintains an internal safety committee and conducts regular safety committee meetings.
- Report safety performance measurements to the management team.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Function effectively whether independent or as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to recognize discrepancies and potential issues.
- Ability to define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, & present solutions as needed.
- Time management, organizational skills, and ability to meet critical deadlines.
