Pay Range: $60-85k/year
Job Summary
The Safety Coordinator works with the Safety Manager to oversee all employees and the safety of their work. They will investigate all incidents that happen out in the field as well as provide new and existing employees with safety trainings to further prevent any accidents or injuries. They will handle all necessary paperwork as well as lead our employees to have a safety focused mindset.
Primary Responsibilities
- Advise & lead employees on various safety-related topics.
- Perform safety training of new hires.
- Conduct field risk assessments.
- Identify process bottlenecks and offer timely solutions.
- Complete field audits to ensure and reinforce that employees are acting in adherence with rules and regulations.
- Oversee workplace repair, installations and any other work that could impact employee safety.
- Coach field leadership on the impact that they have on our safety culture at USI & JDR
- Update & Maintain SDS's and OSHA Metrics & Reporting
- Creation & Distribution out toolbox talks.
- Provide coaching on JSA's.
- Subject matter expert on USI's EHS Management System: HSI.
- Partner with Safety Manager on special projects and incident investigations.
- Role will be approximately 50% in the field, and 50% in an office setting.

Requirements
Qualifications
- 4-year degree in Construction Management, Occupational Safety & Health, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in construction or skilled trades.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Ability to work with a wide variety of personalities including construction field personnel and providing safety training, safety guidance and safety coaching to field personnel.
- Ability to maintain a valid driver's license.
- Willingness and physical ability to make sit visits in all conditions.
