We are looking for experienced Safety and Compliance specialist to help with driver orientation and onboarding, ELD compliance and company policy enforcement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Monitors and controls the company's safety standards in accordance with D.O.T. and state regulations.
- Assists in recruiting, interviewing, and processing company drivers and owner-operators.
- Handles processing of driver and company citations.
- Audits ccompany`s DOT record, DataQ
- Monitors safety-related telematics system functions issues and takes appropriate action with drivers.
- Files, maintains, and updates electronic and hard copy files.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Language required: English, Romanian, Russian are a must.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook; Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
