Description
Summary: Responsible for managing RPM/ Prototype / Quick Turn / R&D. This includes Volume work as requested by the supervisor. Responsible for ensuring all related quotes and purchase orders (POs) represent what we are contractually agreeing to in regard to the production of all parts and assemblies, ensuring the traceability of revision changes and that they are properly entered into the ERP System. This includes ensuring the appropriate risk management forms and kick-offs are completed within the allotted time frame, and that all closed job reviews are performed in a timely manner.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Independently manage multiple complex customer orders with minimal oversight, working with the team to complete the full requirements of contract review and risk management per the QMS procedures in the time frame allowed per the procedures with RPM being the main focus and assisting the PE outside of that.
• Manage the purchase of materials, hardware, gages and tooling as needed and releasing of RPM orders.
• Manage RPM orders throughout each operation to ensure on time delivery.
• Receiving of materials, hardware and tooling and moving to the necessary department as needed
• Printing of travelers for RPM work
• Identify continuous improvement objectives and implement them to streamline the Contract Review Process
• Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to maximize the effectiveness of our team.
• Strong ability to analyze production data, during and postproduction, to determine root cause of in-process failures and to implement effective and efficient corrective actions.
• Ensure all pertinent information to manufacture and meet a customer requirement is documented, and communicated to the appropriate personnel utilizing the resources available (ERP System, Dashboard, etc.)
• Participation in Material Review Board (MRB) Meetings or RPM Standard Sequence of Events (SOE) to assist with root cause and corrective action discussions.
• Complete closed job reviews, with the help of the Process Engineer Assistant/Admin, in a timely manner, document results within the ERP System (estimates and orders side), and review results with top management (as requested by manager on a case-by-case basis)
• Red flag parts that are below the 30% profit margin and report to Supervisor. As well as communicate outsourced job margins to upper management.
• Be in continuous contact with customer buyers to get any additional documents and clarifications in writing to ensure all POs are properly documented to ISO/AS regulatory standards, and that they are saved and linked appropriately.
• Research new processes and work with suppliers to continuously improve the changing customer requirements.
• Continuously develop manufacturing routers to optimize the production process.
• Participate with audit preparations and maintaining an audit-ready work environment.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• 6S Participation.
• Responsible for updating routing information accurately and timely when changes occur and updating printed travelers if needed.
• Assist programming with the creation of PDF drawings and solid models as required.
• Attend meetings as required, including but not limited to risk management, production, and quality.
• Assist as a back-up for the CSR with saving and linking documents as needed.
• Assist in areas to ensure on-time delivery for RPM (finishing, QC, driving, packing of parts and delivering to customer)
• Assist is training team on RPM procedures.
• Ensure you have completed all assigned training for your position per your training plan.
• Escalate problems with a quick resolution.
• Submit PR's or deviation requests.
• Communicate job status related to RPM or any assigned projects as directed by supervisor.
• Sign-up for and attend required training.
• Leading and/or assist with on-the-job trainings for employees within the same department.
• Participates in Customer, Regulatory Audits, and Manufacturing Floor Audits
• Other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials up to 30 pounds. When on the manufacturing floor, safety glasses and closed-toe shoes are required (safety glasses are provided). Ear plugs are available and are optional when working around loud equipment. The dress code is business casual. Upon request, a company smock may be provided to those working on the manufacturing floor. Open food and drinks are strictly prohibited on the manufacturing floor, shipping area, and the quality department.
Salary Description
$28 - $35 an hour
