Form of workWe are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Roving Maintenance Technician to join our team and provide maintenance services to our properties across several counties. As a team member, you will be expected to uphold our core values and communicate with radical transparency while always putting the customer first.
Reports To: Property Supervisor
Position Type: Hourly/ Full Time
Locations: Costa Mesa/Orange/Irvine/Anaheim/ Santa Ana, CA (On the road)
Essential Functions:
- Provide maintenance services, including plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning repairs, carpentry, appliance repairs, glass replacement, etc.
- Complete daily work orders assigned by the supervisor
- Maintain professionalism and follow company policies
- Perform apartment make-ready work and troubleshoot/repair mechanical systems
- Participate in preventive maintenance programs
- Follow all applicable safety rules and regulations
- Assist with other duties assigned
Requirements
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED with two years of related experience
- Ability to operate hand tools and equipment used in grounds keeping
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to operate various hand and power tools
- Deal effectively with co-workers and the public
- Walk, stand and kneel for prolonged periods, climb a ladder
Travel Requirements: This position requires reliable transportation and 100% onsite work. Travel requirements may change at any time.
Physical Demands/Work Environment: This job requires the ability to lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds; exposed to mechanical/electrical/chemical hazards; work outdoors in a wide disparity of environmental conditions; manipulate hand tools while exerting moderate physical strength or while in cramped/strained positions; exposed to dust/fumes; wear protective clothing; work irregular hours.
