The Assistant Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing all support functions for the ACI Jet Maintenance Department. Including shop cleanliness and consumable stocking. Related equipment upkeep, parts processing, and support. Parts and tooling relocation with long-distance driving duties. Assisting aircraft Maintenance Technicians, and all other maintenance support-related duties. This position does not require any certification and the individual will be trained in the specific functions of the job description. This is not a position for a certificated aircraft mechanic.
Reports To
The Assistant Maintenance Technician reports directly to the SNA Site Manager or Shift Supervisor.
Requirements
Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned as required by management):
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the maintenance hangar organization and daily upkeep.
- Ensure cleanliness of the maintenance facilities and equipment.
- Requisition of supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Observe appearances and conditions of premises and equipment; report needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring outside vendor services.
- Responsible for the handling and storage of all maintenance ground support equipment.
- Use company vehicle to reposition tooling and parts to offsite maintenance events (overnight stays in hotels occasionally required).
- Perform non-maintenance-related aircraft servicing such as oxygen and oil replenishing.
- Perform towing of aircraft on the maintenance ramp.
- Processing and handling parts for aircraft under maintenance and the parts department, including limited on-call duties for after-hours parts support.
- Ensure the safety and quality of all assigned duties and responsibilities by actively and positively participating in ACI Jet's SQMS program.
- Responsible for tracking and scheduling upkeep on maintenance support vehicles.
- Responsible for replenishing maintenance-related consumables such as oxygen and nitrogen cylinders, hydraulic fluid, engine oil, cleaning solvents, etc.
- Responsible for scheduling pick-up and removal of HAZMAT and waste products.
- Assist technicians in performing maintenance on aircraft when needed.
- Assist the Site Manager in all other operations duties as the need arises.
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid and clean driver's license.
- Must be able to work as part of a team and independently, in a high-stress and fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to follow specific instructions.
- Must be highly motivated and organized.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, sit, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

- Automotive, diesel-mechanical experience, and electrical knowledge
- Comfortable or experienced around heavy machinery
- Desire to expand mechanical and equipment experience portfolio
- Being bilingual in Spanish is desirable
Pay:
$28.00 - $32.00/hour |DOE
