Jean-Georges isactively seeking a Room Service Manager! POSITION SUMMARY Jean-GeorgesRestaurant is now actively seeking an Experienced Room Service Manager to joinour team. The Room Service Manager will assist in the organizing, management, and administration and all operational aspects of the In-Room diningdepartment.
The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining both high-qualityproducts and service levels for the operation. ESSENTIALJOB RESPONSIBILITIES Overseeall aspects of the daily operation of the Room Service department Superviseall Room Service personnel Respondto guest complaints in a timely manner Workwith other F&B managers and keep them informed of F&B issues as theyarise Organizeall documentationfor shift work daily including pre-shift reports, dailytraining topics, shift floor plan, and requisitions forbeverages, food, and sundries and manage labor daily. Ensureall staff are meeting all established standards of service through ongoing andrecurrent training Monitorand test service skills of staff, retrain and reinforce all standards on foodand quality and service details daily.
Provide feedback as necessary. Coordinateand monitor all phases of Loss Prevention in the Room Service operation Ensure trainingon and compliance with In-Room Dining SOPs Ensureeffective communication between each shift Supervisethe Room Service area to attract, retain, and motivate the employees Ensure thatoptimal level of service, quality, and hospitality are provided to guests Regularlyreview house counts, forecast, and VIP list and maintain the confidentiality ofthe hotel and its guests. Ensurethe timeliness and accuracy of the amenity set-up and delivery Ensurecompliance with all local liquor laws, and health and sanitation regulations Ensureall staff are meeting all established standards of service Monitorand maintain the cleanliness of In-Room Dining areas and work areas Planand conduct meetings for outlets on a monthly basis to ensure staff iscorrectly communicated with and that staff are consistently trained and well-motivated.
Attendinterdepartmental meetings to ensure good cross-communication betweendepartments. Ensureall current Accounting and Human Resources policies are being adhered to.Report any issues or grievances to senior management. Assistin maintaining all POS programming for food and beverage outlets Performany other reasonable duties as required and directed KNOWLEDGE,EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS A minimumof 1 year of fine dining Restaurant Management experience Passionate about food &beverage Able to effectively communicatebothverbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive,friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
Effective at listening to, understanding, andclarifying concerns raised by employees and guests. Excellent phone etiquette, customer service oriented, and proactive. Be familiar with restaurantsystems including Micros, Grub Hub, Tock, and Caviar Able to multitask and workin a fast-paced environment Able to maintain a positiveand professional demeanor at all times Participate in teamwork andassist other departments when needed Possess a proven trackrecord for guest satisfaction COMPENSATION The base pay range for this position is 65,000-70,000per year.The determination of what a specific employee in this jobclassification is paidwithin the rangedepends on a number offactors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-relatedknowledge, qualifications, skills, etc.
