Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Factory Zero on a full-time basis.
The Role:
As a Production Scheduler you will be responsible for support in one or more of the key areas: manufacturing/warehouse operations, supply chain systems and processes, launch execution and scheduling and material management.
You will act as a liaison between purchasing, engineering, warehousing/manufacturing, logistics, supply chain and suppliers to resolve issues, provide support and verify problem solving and corrective actions are in place to support production. The Production Scheduler ensures production planning meets demand, all production parts are present prior to production runs, and they ensure the schedules to the supply base and production align to meet customer requirements.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
Ability to learn and apply findings quickly; understand and assess complex supply chain issues and lead teams in a cross functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impacts to production
Ability to summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership
Develops a weekly build schedule and ship plan to meet customer requirements using Material Global Optimization (MGO) MRP system
Communicates with and assists manufacturing to facilitate the completion of production requirements
Identifies optimal finished RESS buffer sizes and monitors through inventory counts.
Supports suppliers past due and recovery plans
Works with MFU’s to adjusts and maintains inventory ordering levels through use of MGO
Determines overtime requirements as needed
Updates buy/sell scheduling agreements and orders in MGO
Assists the Material Office Supervisor in daily operations
Represents the department in various activities or committees as required
Coordinates internal control audits and cycle counts
Develops standardized work
Supports GMS initiatives
Additional Description
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
B.A with a focus in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or equivalent experience
3 years of Automotive Manufacturing experience
3 years of GSC experience
Proven technical and professional skills related to global supply chain functionality
Knowledge of Supply Chain department operations and computer systems (MRP or ERP i.e. SAP)
Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, macros, complex formulas)
Knowledge of MGO Material Systems
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
Ability to work OT as needed - Saturdays/Sunda
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience working with MGO and PAS systems
5+ years of GSC experience
5+ years of Automotive Manufacturing experience
