Duties

As a Resources Analyst at the GS-0501-09 grade level, some of your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Identifies/reviews data input source documents for completeness and adequacy for inclusion in various financial reports.
  • Monitors data usage in several key categories, and consult with activity specialists and managers to resolve reporting problems.
  • Determines pertinent issues and collects relevant information from a variety of sources through the application of standard analytical techniques.
  • Assists with planning and developing specifications for new or upgraded comprehensive accounting/financial systems to meet the Center/Agency business requirements.
  • Assists in reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating automated accounting system requirements.
  • Manages system operations, resolving unusual or complex problems as they occur.
  • Assists with coordinates the procurement, processing, and reconciliation of training and employee development.
  • Provide excellent customer care and focus with the ability to assess customers needs and provide the correct answer, path, troubleshooting, or method for a positive customer experience.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-09 level, you must have:
a) One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level
  • Recording or maintaining organization resources through budget planning, budget execution, or cost performance to assist with business requirements, programs, or projects.
  • Analyzing financial data, compiling transactions, and/or reviewing related outputs to identify problems and prepare standard documentation such as financial spreadsheets, charts, and graphs.
  • Reviewing data input source documents for completeness and adequacy for inclusion in various financial reports.
OR
b) Completed all requirements for a master's or equivalent graduate degree in an appropriate field
OR
c) Completed 2 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in an appropriate field
OR
d) LL. B or J.D, if related
OR
e) Have an equivalent combination of experience and graduate study as discussed in a), b), c) and d) above

Education

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.
OR
A combination of specialized experience at the GS-07 level and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
