Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is working with a leading government contracting organization to provide accounting and finance services to a Federal Agency in downtown DC. Candidates will be responsible for significant budget analysis regarding appropriation of funds for the Agency during a 5 month study. Majority of the work will be done remotely, but there are meetings required in DC on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities/Qualifications:
- Has in-depth understanding of the Federal budget process and appropriations, including Common Appropriations Structure (CAS).
- Able to develop and document the budget process from the initial customer request through funding transfer and through execution of requirements.
- Provides recommendations for improvements as needed.
- Compiles financial data and performs data validation and analysis.
- Able to create and analyze budget trend data.
- Automates recurring and ad hoc reports.
