Duties
  • You will interpret policies, procedures and regulations conformance with the mission objectives and goals.
  • You will provide managers with objectively based information for making decisions on administrative/ programmatic aspects of organization.
  • You will develop and/or assist in the development of a variety of correspondence.
  • You will conduct and/or assist in conducting meetings and briefings.
  • You will resolve most conflicts and inform the supervisor of potentially controversial issues.
  • You will use analytical methods to assess and evaluate programs or operations.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • Acquisition Workforce (AWF) members must complete 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) every two (2) years, in accordance with DoDI 5000.66.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band (NH-01) or grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Planning and carrying out projects and analyses of organization's requirements and interpreting established policies and procedures;
Analyzing and applying knowledge of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) policies, procedures, cases and data/reports;
Applying knowledge of program management office goals and objectives to accomplish assigned programs; and
Utilizing Microsoft software programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, database files, etc. as well as management information system/office automation applications such as DSAMS, CEPT, SCIP, Information Warehouse, and other security assistance systems and tools
.
