Job Summary
- Support SBU transportation leaders with executing projects including completion of standard work for assigned transportation team.
- Supervising and training of logistics planners within the team.
- Support scheduling of meetings and project management activities including updating project status.
- Ensure that transportation decisions to include rates, on-time delivery, and quality create the "best value" for both Trane and the customer.
- Participate in continuous improvement and rapid improvement events and provide support including documentation, analysis, and follow-up activities.
- Provide logistics planning for assigned facilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership and development for a Transportation Planning Team with responsibility for the physical movement of inbound and outbound shipments for assigned manufacturing and warehousing facilities. Back up other Transportation Planning Teams, as required
- Initiate, develop, and implement innovative and aggressive approaches to transportation process and price reduction improvements
- Establish meaningful metrics for Transportation Planning and provide timely reporting whenever an issue is identified
- Contribute to long-range planning and priority setting for the transportation team
- Lead all IT system enhancement projects related to transportation
- Other duties, as directed
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field
- 2-5+ years' experience in Supply Chain or Transportation preferred
- Strong Analytic experience preferred
- Experience with Transportation Management System, Oracle or OTM preferred
- Demonstrated supervisory experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications with emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with large complex cross cross-functional projects
- Ability to read and interpret documents and instructions from customers, vendors, and other team members
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members
- Ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction
- Ability to work within the appropriate level of independence
- Ability to travel, as required
- Logistics Acumen - Supports and executes logistics strategy for the assigned team to achieve optimal Trane Technologies results that are Quality, Delivery, Price, and Service balanced and corporate/governmental compliant.
- Project Management - Identifies needed resources, develops project plans, and drives project execution.
- Global Business Thinking/Strategizing - Demonstrates global knowledge of carriers, industry trends, emerging markets, and technology.
- Problem Solving - Identifies potential problems, conducts root cause analysis, and leads corrective action plan implementation.
- Relationship Management - Works collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders within North America Logistics, shares transportation research with the entire enterprise, and manages "Trane Technologies voice" to carrier base.

Salary: $80,000 - $106,000 base salary. Total compensation will include an incentive.
