Team Leader Warehouse I – 1st Shift
New Bern, NC / Full-time
Your responsibilities
Responsible for leading warehouse associates in all phases of receiving, managing and shipping of service parts, marketing literature and small appliances. Work toward continuous improvement of operations and keep management informed of progress in meeting schedules and goals.
- Lead Service parts associates in the distribution operations including receiving, stocking of locations, order processing, checking for accuracy, packing and final distribution of products to customers and service centers.
- Analyze and evaluate inventory capacity for service parts and make recommendations for corrections and improvements.
- Oversee checking, packing, crating, banding, labeling and weighing of orders for shipment.
- Ensure that new parts are properly established in the system.
- Establish proper controls within the operation to ensure accuracy and correctness.
- Advise management of all issues and help develop solutions.
- Ensure that indirect materials are ordered, booked in and booked out on a timely basis, while maintain proper inventory levels to support the business.
- Work with management to develop/resolve new packaging requirements
- Lead special projects such as improvement initiatives, the relocation of parts and process improvements to maintain the highest level of productivity.
- Interface with planning group and customer service departments to resolve issues and respond to topics.
- Ensure that the Warehouse Is maintained in a neat, clean and orderly fashion, in accordance with company standards.
- Escalate any associate topics or issues top management.
- Supervise all temporary associates including training and work capacity.
- Actively develop team to bring about best personal performance from each associate.
- Support positive working environment.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Your profile
- High-School Diploma – Required
- Associate degree – Preferred
- 0-2 Years of Experience (Warehouse experience) – Required
- Working knowledge of sophisticated computer systems.
- Leadership and supervisory abilities.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of sophisticated computer systems, including advanced knowledge of SAP.
- Ability to lead and direct permanent and temporary associates in training and activities.
- Computers, SAP, Excel, Word, Microsoft Office
- Normal office machinery such as fax machines and copiers and label printers.
Your Pay & Benefits
The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.
