About the Position
The Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) is a full-time position and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing dynamic programs within our affordable housing communities. The RSC works with residents to promote arts participation, resident leadership, lifelong learning, crisis intervention and housing stabilization through the access of on and off-site services and resources. Under the supervision of Director of Resident Services, the RSC works directly with residents to support, encourage and foster resident self-efficacy and empowerment.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this position is $24.00 - $25.00. This position is eligible for the following benefits:

Essential Position Responsibilities
- Welcome new residents, explain the program and provide community resources, programs and services upon move-in.
- Conduct resident surveys.
- Identify need for assistance and educate residents on available resources.
- Provide referrals between residents and local agencies with the objective of addressing identified needs.
- Develop working relationships with the local service providers in the community and collect resource material.
- Remain up to date with available community resources, federal, state and local programs.
- Work with the property management team to identify residents who need assistance.
- Promote educational and wellness activities while building a sense of community.
- Advocate for residents and act as liaison between residents, management and the community.
- Encourage residents’ self-advocacy and empowerment in meeting their social, psychological, physical, economic and other needs.
- Collaborate in the facilitation of tenant meetings, community organizing and social/recreational activities.
- Implement appropriate programming.
- Prepare outreach materials for upcoming events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- BA/BS in social work, education, sociology, psychology or related field and/or equivalent experience required.
- At least 1 year of experience coordinating services for a large family affordable housing residential project or at least 1 year of experience working for a service provider in a professional capacity.

- Reliable transportation to travel within the CCSM service area.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to increase engagement of residents.
- Present a welcoming demeanor to a diverse community while communicating clearly and with compassion.
- Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with residents and service providers.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
