KPEP is a community based program providing both residential and non-residential services to male and female offenders. We have facilities in Kalamazoo, Benton Harbor, Battle Creek and Muskegon, Michigan. There are part time positions available at our Muskegon facility. The responsibilities of the Resident Coordinator include but are not limited to:
- Enforce rules of the program
- Monitor behavior of the residents
- Conduct head counts
- Conduct searches of property and surrounding areas
- Breathalyzer (PBT) testing
- Urine screening
- Complete pat down and strip searches
- Computer data entry
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum education and experience: High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years college education in criminal justice or other human services field preferred; experience working with felony offenders preferred; former military. This is a great position for someone interested in gaining experience working with offenders in preparation for law enforcement career or for someone looking for a long term career in corrections and rehabilitation.
