Morton Buildings, Inc.’s corporate Research and Development Department, located in Morton, Illinois is offering a paid student internship during the summer. The R&D Engineering internship will provide the student with on-the-job training to develop relevant skills aligned with their current course of study. The work includes conceptual development, materials and product testing, report writing, and project self-management.
Summer housing options are available for the duration of the internship.

As a Morton Buildings Engineering Intern, you will:
- Work directly with a mentor in your field of study.
- Work on a team within the R&D Group and individually on key projects and products.
- Provide updates, written or verbal, on project status to various members of the R&D department
- Perform assigned duties that could include modeling, performing FEA analysis, materials testing, prototype design & testing, product research, and product evaluation.
- Participate in related team or project meetings and conference calls.

- A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
- Must be highly motivated with the ability to meet daily deadlines.
- Self-starter with a positive, willing to learn attitude.
- Able to work independently, as well as able to work well in a team setting.
- Service minded with excellent communication and solid documentation skills.
Requirements:
- The selected intern will be expected to complete a project that will require junior-level engineering coursework
- Targeted Graduation date of the Fall of 2024 or Spring of 2025.
- Pursuing an engineering degree in one of the following fields: Mechanical, Industrial, Agricultural, or Civil.
- This is an on-site position in Morton, IL. Housing options available.
