Cancer Research Foundation: The Cancer Research Foundation (CRF) and Chicago Chapter (CRFCC) have been recognizing and funding young investigators and partnering with Chicagoland Comprehensive Cancer Centers for 70 years. The mission of the CRF and CRFCC is to support early career researchers and novel ideas in cancer research with the hope of contributing to “Transformative Events” in the prevention, treatment and cures of cancer. In the summer of 2021, the University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation Women’s Board (now called The Breakthrough Board) joined the CRFCC. With missions that so closely align, the TBB raises between $1-$1.5M each hear via their premiere gala for innovative cancer research at the University of Chicago Comprehensive Cancer Center (UCCCC).
