ResponsibilitiesThis role will support: "A polygenic risk score-guided randomized controlled trial to feasibility test an exercise program to improve cognition in Type 2 diabetes mellitus patients".
Responsibilities include:
- Day-to-day project and research management to support project desired outcomes, budgets, and timeliness.
- Effectively review study protocol and provide the necessary training for specific tasks with the individuals involved in the conduct of the study. Serves as research project manager providing oversight and assistance to Research Assistants, and day-to-day activities including regulatory requirements, site coordination, personnel, facilities, and supplies in support of research projects.
- Assists with preparation of proposal components, monitoring of forecasted budgets, preparation of progress reports, and tracking and reporting efforts of grant submissions.
- Ensures compliance with protocol guidelines and requirements of regulatory agencies. Coordinates and actively recruits and acquires formal consent from study subjects for enrollment. Maintains confidential records of collected data, ensures accuracy and integrity of data.
- Administrative support for research meetings, scheduling, human resources, travel, and event planning.
Bachelor's degree and two years of experience related to the duties of this position; or a high school diploma/equivalency and six years of experience in same. (Note: post-high school education may substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
- Knowledge of data analysis techniques and methodology.
- Knowledge of research methodology, principles, and practices in area of work.
- Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of data collection.
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations.
- Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Experience performing accurately in a detail-oriented environment.
- Experience compiling, reviewing, and reconciling data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Skill in preparing clear and concise reports, correspondences, and other written materials.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook or equivalent software.
Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.
