Accounting Assistant

We have an immediate opening for a responsible and reliable Accounting Administrative Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary : The candidate will work closely with the Financial Controller and will also support the Medical Billing Department. This is an on-site position and candidate must be professional, dependable and a team player.

Qualifications:

Candidate must possess the following qualifications & Qualities:

• Minimum 2 years of accounting/administrative office experience
• Savvy in Accounting and Proficiency in QuickBooks
• Highly organized and motivated
• Attentive to details, accuracy and accountability
• Strong sense of Ethics and Trustworthy
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Able to adapt to evolving job duties and assignments
• Strong written, organizational and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work in a fast setting environment
• Experience in Medical A/R is a Plus

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process incoming invoices for approval
• Bookkeeping duties for multiple entities
• Print checks weekly for bill payment under direction of Controller
• Maintain company business licensing and certifications
• Enter journal entries in Quickbooks
• Pay & file sales tax monthly
• Establishes, maintain, and organize filing systems as assigned.
• Research and correct any account discrepancies
• Vendor account oversight and reconciliations.
• Make bank deposits as needed.
• Support Medical Billing department staff as needed
• Maintain confidentiality in all tasks
• Other accounting and administrative duties as needed

Education:

• Associate degree

Experience:

• Bookkeeping: 2 years (Preferred)
• Accounts Payable: 2 year (Preferred)
• Accounting: 2 year (Preferred)
• Quickbooks: 2 year (Preferred)
• Administrative Assistant: 1 year (Preferred)
