Qualifications for Employment
Associate’s Degree in Mathematics, Educational Research, Business Administration, Computer Information, Public Administration or related fields. One (1) year work experience. Ability to use Structured Query Language (SQL) and experience in Banner software desirable.
Nature and Scope of Duties:
The Research Analyst reports to the Assistant Director of Institutional Research and performs the following duties:
1. Assists in developing the information that is presented on the departmental webpages and the academic program review webpages. Collaborate with the college web coordinator to post all updates to both departmental and program review pages.
2. Assists in developing data, reports, charts and text to respond to data requests, grant/contract development efforts or planning process needs.
3. Assists with data collection and submission for SUNY, State, and Federal periodic reporting.
4. Writes and executes SQL commands, downloads and formats SQL output on both administrative and microcomputer to query the various databases in use at the College and generate desired reports.
5. Coordinates annual graduate follow-up survey and reporting for all academic departments: Collect outcome data from all graduates from the prior year, tabulate data average into college-wide report, create individual department graduate outcomes, post outcomes on departmental program review web pages.
6. Coordinates all aspects of the survey administration of the student evaluation of faculty each semester. This includes: Assemble the survey packets to be distributed to the faculty, distributes the surveys to be administered, develop and maintain a database of survey status, surveys completed and surveys outstanding, provide receipt conformations for all completed survey packets received, complete data entry and output reports for all surveys received.
7. Attends meetings to facilitate accreditation, grant/contract development, planning efforts, and data collection/analysis/reporting at both the departmental and institutional level on a wide variety of college initiatives.
8. Provides technical consultation services to academic and administrative personnel involved in research efforts.
9. Performs other duties assigned.
There are two full-time 37.5-hour work week positions with a salary range of $40,000-$42,000.
