Position Summary

Analytics & Behavior Change (A&BC) is an organization working to solve some of the most challenging problems at the intersection of technology and healthcare. We leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and a hypothesis-driven approach to quickly transform data into actionable, customer-centric insights to drive growth, improve health outcomes and access to health care across all our businesses in CVS Health. We are responsible for understanding the data flow from a business perspective to create a solution architecture to model the business. Our data teams build next generation data and machine learning platforms and products in the cloud that help power CVS Health to make healthier happen for 100+ million customers.

Government Consumer Analytics is one of the largest teams within A&BC’s Consumer Analytics organization. The team partners with Aetna’s Government lines of business (Medicare, Duals, Medicaid, ACA) to consult with business leaders to define and structure business problems and deliver end-to-end technical product solutions. The team is organized by business-aligned verticals – Medicare STARS, Revenue Integrity, Duals, Rewards & Product Engagement, CX Engagement, Mail Order Delivery, & Call Intelligence.

This new role is within our CX Engagement vertical focused on improving consumer experience

Location: Hybrid in New York, NY, will not consider remote

Responsibilities:

  • Data mining activities using Python and SQL/BigQuery to extract insights from some of the most valuable healthcare datasets in the world.
  • Develop and implement MLOps pipelines in Google Cloud Platform to support the execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Build statistical models (eg. XGBoost, Regression etc.) to predict consumer behavior enabling optimized targeting for marketing campaigns
  • Track marketing results across multiple touchpoints along the journey (web, call center, brokers) from consumer to member
  • Launch, measure and report on A/B and multi-variate tests to improve program performance across key performance indicators
  • Engage with marketing stakeholders to understand go-to-market plans, support marketing strategies with data driven insights, and assist in planning for member growth
  • Effectively influence stakeholders and become a trusted partner that is indispensable
  • Communicate technical concepts and implications to business partners in a way that is easy for them to grasp and understand
  • Manage multiple work streams and projects using excellent time management and planning skills to measure on time deployment and high-quality results
  • Utilize excellent data storytelling techniques to create presentations and content that easily communicates answers to complex problems in a clear and compelling way

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ Months of internship in applied Data Science/advanced analytics ie. ML, experimental design, optimization and A/B testing.
    1+ years of experience in SQL/BigQuery and Python.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    2+ years using Python and SQL
  • 1+ years of experience with big data tools ie. GCP, AWS
  • 1+ years of experience with Machine Learning and A/B testing, ideally in campaign optimization
  • Demonstrated proficiency in a range of mathematical analysis methods, machine learning, statistical analyses, and predictive modeling with in-depth specialization n in some areas
  • Proactive and curious mindset with a passion for data-driven decision making

Education

Bachelor's degree in business or quantitative field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$71,070.00 - $148,300.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
