POSITION SUMMARY
Our Research Analyst will play a crucial role in conducting comprehensive research, analyzing data, and providing insights to support the development and improvement of our nutraceutical and supplement products. Responsible for evaluating scientific literature, analyzing the competitive market, and monitoring industry trends to support the development of innovative, nutrition-related products. Additional duties will be to apply relevant research to new ingredient and product proposals as well as create and manage documentation to support technical product claims and marketing strategies.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree required in a life sciences field, preferably nutrition, biology, biochemistry, or a closely related field; Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred
- 3-5 years of relevant industry experience preferred or demonstrated comparable proficiency
- Proven experience in conducting scientific research, preferably in the nutraceutical or pharmaceutical industry
- Technical writing experience scientific communication in a related field, or a combination of education and experience, preferred
- Knowledgeable in nutrition, dietary supplements, and/or natural products research; must be interested and willing to acquire knowledge in personal care products and dermatology
- Experience using PUBMED or other scientific journal databases
- Awareness of FDA, FTC, and DSHEA regulations within the nutrition and dietary supplement industry, preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to tailor writing and communication style to the lay consumer as well as the scientific community
- Outstanding organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software
- Ability to work independently and as a member of cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently plan and organize projects
- Versatility and flexibility in an evolving, fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines
- Capacity to handle multiple projects at once with organizational skills, adhere to deadlines, and prioritize/re-prioritize competing tasks depending on the evolving demands

Literature Review:
- Conduct thorough reviews of scientific literature, clinical studies, and industry publications to stay abreast of the latest advancements, trends, and breakthroughs in nutraceuticals and supplements.
Data Analysis:
- Collect, organize, and analyze data related to ingredients, formulations, and product efficacy.
- Utilize statistical methods to interpret and draw meaningful conclusions from research findings.
Product Development Support:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development and marketing, to provide data-driven insights for new product formulations and improvements to existing products.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay informed about regulatory requirements and standards related to nutraceuticals and supplements.
- Assist in ensuring that products comply with regulatory guidelines and quality standards.
Market Research:
- Monitor market trends, competitor products, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with internal teams to share research findings and contribute to the overall product development strategy.
- Communicate complex scientific information clearly and understandably to various stakeholders.
