Great Western Valve is currently offering an opportunity for a Safety Relief Valve Technician to join our fast-paced, customer-oriented environment for our SRV group. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and efficient repair of safety Relief Valves in the field.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Repair safety Relief Valves to National Board VR Code
- Read and interpret manufacturers drawings and spring charts
- Perform measurements with Steam boiler operating and testing, Dial calipers, Micrometers, and Dial indicators
- Apply math skills to verify critical dimensions
- Perform machine and hand lapping of nozzles and discs
- Perform valve write-ups including nameplate data, guide and nozzle ring settings, and spring number
- Pressure and leak test valves to National Board, API and ASME standards
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Industrial safety and Relief Valve experience
- Working knowledge of National Board Inspection Code (NBIC)
- Working knowledge of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)

- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability and strong desire to lead by example, as well as work well with others
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
