Job Responsibilities:
- Installs and tests Frac Valves and related frac equipment on customer location in accordance with J&W operating procedures.
- Perform frac rig-up & rig-down operations in the field as scheduled by service manager.
- Prior to any field job understand all job requirements, equipment needed, and any related customer specific requirements.
- Maintain and properly utilize personal protection equipment (PPE) such as: hardhat, safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toe boots, flame resistant clothing, H2S, gloves, and any additional PPE required for jobsite.
- Maintains service vehicle and tools/equipment. Ensures periodic maintenance consistent with company policy and promptly reports required repairs to service manager.
- Responsible for always ensuring a safe work environment.
- Adhere to all J&W company policy and procedure, guidelines, and SOPs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management and coworkers, both oral and written, clearly and concisely.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment, forklift, etc.
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and regulations.
- Thoroughly complete all required field paperwork as directed by supervisor.
- Competence in API-6A quality manual system and ability to conduct business operations in conformance with all processes and requirements of J&W's API quality management system.
- Maintains a high degree of customer satisfaction by providing timely and competent service.
- Must be familiar with 10K & 15K Frac Valves (hydraulic and manual), valve installation, field maintenance, etc.
- Basic understanding of accumulators, greasing equipment, high-pressure hoses, torque wrenches, and general frac operations.
- Willing to travel and work away from home on a regular basis.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced and loud work environment.
Experience/Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Field Service Technician role or similar position.
- Current forklift certification.
- Ability to lift up to 65 pounds.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 2-3 years verifiable related work experience, basic mechanical abilities to work in shop area and location as needed. Prior Frac Valve experience is preferred.
- Must be computer literate, have ability to analyze and report to management, and able to multi-task.
- Must be able to climb up and climb down a ladder from work locations.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces.
