POSITION SUMMARY
The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for planning and implementing all aspects of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) at the plant level. This position requires management of predictive technologies, vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, preventative maintenance, lubrication and root cause failure analysis. In addition, the position will manage machine specific reliability functions with the plant OEM to assist plant maintenance in maintaining operational tolerances to OEM specifications. This position will also work directly with maintenance management to refine preventative maintenance activities and be responsible for coordinating technical maintenance training and employee development. Salary will be based on experience and education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.
- Research, evaluate, operate, or maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems or processes to meet requirements of plant reliability.
- Confer with plant and/or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information.
- Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions.
- Investigate workflows, business procedures, and recommend changes.
- Assist maintenance management in evolving from reactive centered work to reliability centered work.
- Collect and analyze metrics and continually improve processes owned by the group.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance to the plant's reliability standards.
- Work closely with equipment EOM for machine center improvement.
- Integrate efforts with the maintenance, operations and engineering to extract best value from reliability efforts and initiatives.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or degree in process control
- Associates degree in a technical field
- 3+ years' experience with business operations, manufacturing or process development
