The Relationship Manager, Retirement position aims to support the Retirement Producer/ Advisor through our systems and strengthen each client association towards our goal of institutionalized relationships. This position will include client-facing engagement, so great communication skills and relationship-fostering talent are necessary!
- Understand appropriate documents related to the plans, including amendments
- Exhibit 401(k), 403(b) and 457 technical expertise
- Research legislative updates related to plan documents
- Compile plan asset reports from vendor websites.
- Execute performance reports for clients.
- Prepare agendas and other meeting documents for quarterly reviews.
- Prepare client folders for meetings with appropriate reports and documents.
- Participate in in-person/Virtual meetings with clients and decision-makers regarding operational issues, service, and retention.
- Document plan changes, meeting minutes, and follow-up tasks, and ensure they are saved in Cloud and CRM systems.
- Work with vendors to get access to the vendors' websites.
- Pull fee reports and asset reports.
- Day-to-day interaction with Record-keeper and TPAs to manage client tasks and issues.
- Help with Record keeper RFP.
- Coordinate new client implementations, update plan documents and checklists, communicate with the support team, and maintain accurate records, including signed documents.
- Participate in weekly calls with vendors for plan conversions, update plan documents, and provide employee communication regarding fund lineups, force outs, blackout periods, etc.
- Work with the Recordkeepers department to collect quarterly Retirement fees.
- Series 66 license required
- Any industry designation is preferred.
- Sound TPA knowledge
- 5 years of experience in a related role
- Financial advisory experience required
- Plan document (specifically 401(k), 403(b) and 457(b) plans) experience, preferred
- Experience with agency management systems, including RPAG and Salesforce.
- Strong customer contact skills with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Experienced in various technologies, such as Windows and OS operating systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Accountability and high level of accuracy
- Analyzing data and reports
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
