JOB SUMMARY:     

The Regional Vice President of Sales (West) - Large Enterprise is responsible for leading the West Territory software sales team to achieve both company and team quotas. Responsibilities include developing marketing plans that provide leads, managing /mentoring / coaching of assigned sales team located in North America. Understanding customers’ business issues and design strategies. This individual has track-record of selling Cloud, ERP, SCM, EPM, BI, and Analytics enterprise software products to a broad industry base. Requires travel to exceed 50%.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Experience leading business application sales team related to multiple product suite to include: Cloud, ERP, SCM, EPM, HCM, CRM, Analytics, and Reporting applications
  • Ability to effectively lead an organization of Sales VPs and Account Executives
  • High-level of energy and commitment, combined with enthusiasm and a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication and networking skills
  • Use formal professional selling practices and tools
  • Go-to-market planning and execution skills
  • Territory / Team P&L Track Record
  • Strong positive coaching background combined with professional integrity.
  • Experience selling to a broad industry base.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of experience as a proven sales performer in the enterprise software industry, with a track record of nurturing and selling to an existing or new customer base meeting and exceeded quota targets.
  • Recent experience as a 1st-line VP of Sales  or Regional VP leading SCM/ERP/BI software sales teams
  • Experience selling into the C-Suite across industries

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated success in achieving quota in enterprise class software sales (Cloud/ERP/ERP/BI)
  • Passion for Midmarket enterprise sales
  • Ability to establish and manage executive level customer relationships
  • Ability to handle multiple complex sales cycles simultaneously
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix-management environment with extended team members
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills: writing, editing and presenting
  • Ability to present technical concepts in a clear manner to customers and sales team
  • Ability to resolve complex problems
  • An effective sales team leader that is able to work well with Sales team, Consulting, Customer Support Group, Development, Marketing and Sales Management
  • Ability to develop strategies, and execute
  • Professional appearance and presentation required
  • Willingness to Travel (> 50%)

 

EDUCATION:

  • University Degree: four (4) year BS or BA minimum
  • Masters Degree preferred

 

Candidates located in West Market Unit strongly preferred.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 330100 - 677800 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
