Role & Function
To efficiently and profitably manage and direct a specific Business Unit through providing a quality product over a range of ground handling services to its customer base and to expand the customer base/new locations accordingly.
To meet and, where possible, improve on the targets operational, as set out in the Business Plan and in the Budget.
Responsibilities:
- Planning
- Resource planning (manpower, equipment and facilities).
- Ensuring
- Establish and maintain a high quality standard of service performance.
- Maintain close and effective business relationships with customer airline's management.
- Maintain a good working relationship with the various control authorities such as Airport Management, Customs, Immigration, US Homeland Security, US TSA, etc.
- Ensures growth of sales and business development and supports Station Manager initiatives
- Ensures a Corporate guidance for Stations regarding Operational & Safety SOP's.
- Controlling
- Ensure that administrative and control procedures are established and maintained.
- Ensure all equipment and facility costs are in line with business development.
- Supporting
- Implement, maintain and closely supervise all safety and security measures related to people, equipment, facilities and aircraft involved in the operation.
- Ensure that there is a progressive personnel policy governing the recruitment, training and development of staff.
- Ensure that there is an efficient and effective communications system between Upper Management and the Station Managers.
- Provide any needed support to Stations in dealings with customers, authorities and labor organizations.

Qualifications Required:
- MBA or equivalent required
- 10 years of experience in the cargo or logistics industry with a minimum of 5 years executive level experience leading and developing teams
- Strong leadership qualities
- Previous P&L responsibility
- Proven track record in high volume - low margin industries
- Strategic and commercial thinker
- Excellent business acumen
