Fike Corporation, a rapidly growing international manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression and detection equipment, has an opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager. Fike is a privately held business located in Blue Springs, MO with over 400 employees locally & over 1,200 employees worldwide.
Job Summary:
Responsible for the sales performance of the North East Region: ME, VT, NH, MA, CT, RI, NY, NJ, DE, PA, OH, IN, MI, VA, and WV. Provides sales oversight to Distribution channels within the region by providing sales performance goals, attending sales meetings, and driving a winning solution for Fike products. Requires extensive domestic travel. Responsible for developing relationships with "end users" as prospective sales leads for sales channels and/or future corporate key accounts prospects. Additional responsibilities include ongoing market research, monitoring and analyzing territory for opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for achieving and exceeding sales goals for sales region.
- Establishes and maintains professional customer relationships with decision-makers at existing accounts.
- Establishes new relationships with potential customers and with existing competitor accounts.
- Maintains knowledge of competitive products, suppliers, and distribution channel.
- Works closely with Customer Service organization to prepare and approve quotations.
- Responds and investigates problems identified by representatives, acting as a liaison with the corporate office.
- Manages development of annual sales plans for assigned sales distribution network.
- Monitors representative sales activity on a monthly basis.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a technical, sales, or marketing field.
- Proven track record of sales and sales channel management.
- Proven track record of customer service.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Must possess excellent communications skills and exchange information with others clearly and concisely
- Ability to present technical value proposition for defined products.
- Proven track record of performing technical sales presentations.
- Five years' experience in the fire suppression industry and/or the fire alarm sales industry.
- Must be capable of working with a high degree of personal discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of the NFPA standard and other related code requirements.
- Working knowledge of Fike and/or competitor products.
