ASAP Solutions Group, an Innova Solutions Company is filling a Regional Maintenance Manager role for a client in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Pay range is up to $130K DOE. Seeking 7 years of experience in mechanical and electrical systems, related maintenance processes and environmental equipment and regulations knowledge. Regional Maintenance Manager

Direct regional and department efforts in repair, maintenance, installation of machines, tools, equipment, buildings, grounds, utility systems and capital investments across the four (4) North American Plants.

Duties & Responsibilities
Direct the scheduling of repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.

  • Oversee coordination activities of employees fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing product manufacturing.
  • Direct development of preventive maintenance program.
  • Review production, quality, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify department activities.
  • Direct the planning, development, and implementation of new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
  • Review new plans and discuss equipment needs and modifications with engineers, contractors, and production personnel.
  • Confer with production management, engineering, and quality assurance personnel to resolve problems and recommend measures to improve operations, conditions of machines, and equipment needs.
  • Prepare department budget and monitor expenditure of funds in budget.
  • Review project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
  • Direct the establishment of a work plan and staffing for projects; make arrangements for adequate supply of qualified project personnel.
  • Oversee activities to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
  • Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
  • Direct department personnel to manage project activities within parameters established by governmental agencies.
  • Responsible for reviewing all available resources, making maintenance repair schedules, establishing priorities as necessary with authorized limits and makes assignments to ensure maximum efficiency and minimum production disruptions.
  • Manage vendors for repair of parts, determining proper replacement parts and supervises contract personnel performing maintenance work in the Plant.
  • Drives best practice with trouble-shooting techniques and stay abreast of the latest repair techniques available on the market.
  • Subject matter expert in Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulics
  • Identify chronic maintenance problem areas that are the basis of continual development of an ongoing preventive maintenance program. Maintains an effective accidental maintenance program for daily requirements and maintains close contact with production areas managers and team leaders to improve the Total Productive Maintenance Program.
  • Heads up work groups consisting of skilled representatives of all areas to solve complex maintenance problems.
  • Responsible to ensure that General Maintenance Technicians and Supervisors are well trained and capable while fostering high morale and high productivity.
  • Must exercise effective personal leadership and communication to create a positive work environment that will ensure accomplishment of plant objectives and develop a spirit of cooperation and team building throughout the plant.
  • Maintain an orderly and clean plant environment while promoting individual safety and ensuring that all environmental and safety regulations are met. Ensure all work meets required codes and safety requirements.
  • Lead the preparation of capital appropriations for equipment and facility.
  • Provide input, develop, implement, and achieve X+1, X+3 and X+5 depart goals, expense/capital budget and assigned plant goals.
  • Manage employees in the Maintenance Departments. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) from a four-year accredited College or University.

Experience

  • Minimum 7-10 year’s related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience including managing a team of direct reports at multiple locations.
  • Established working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, related maintenance processes and environmental equipment and regulations is also required.

Communication Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
