GENERAL SUMMARY:
This is hands on supervisory and maintenance work, in managing the operations of the Airport Authority. The work includes responsibility for planning, organizing and carrying out the operational responsibilities of the Airport Authority, enforcement of rules and regulations, and maintenance of facilities for the safe and efficient operation of the Airport Authority. The Operations / Maintenance Manager assists the Airport Director in the development of budgets, the pursuit of grants, and any other functions required. Work is performed under the direction of the Airport Director. This position also includes being an Assistant Airport Manager. Must be available nights, weekends and holidays for ice and snow operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Works with the Airport Director in resolving the operational functions of the Airport Authority that need to be carried out.
· Carries out the Airside and Landside operations and maintenance according to established standards with the assistance of help, as needed.
· Maintains complete awareness of all regulations and policies that impact the operation of the Airport Authority.
· Implements and enforces policies and procedures covering operations in compliance with regulatory and legal directives.
· Carries out timely completion of all snow/ice removal for safe runway/taxiway operations.
· Recommends manpower needs, establishes functional responsibilities, conducts training programs, assists with job performance reviews.
· Assigns job assignments, scheduling and work procedures.
· Monitors and evaluates ongoing functions and activities for efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with all regulation requirements.
· Performs / oversees work in progress, including maintenance and repair of runways, taxiways, aprons, lighting system, water system, sewer and heating systems, buildings, hangars and so forth by airport staff or contractors.
· Analyzes need for equipment and manpower.
· Establishes preventive maintenance programs and sees that Airport Authority facilities are maintained in good condition. Takes corrective action where and when needed.
· Handles complaints, promotes harmonious relations, maintains good relations and communications with users and the community.
· Prepares operating reports, as required.
· Submits recommendations for policy consideration.
· Service & maintain fuel storage system.
· Track & report NOAA daily weather observations
· Submits Notice To Airman (NOTAM) updates
· Performs such other duties as may be required by the Airport Director.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
