Job Description:
The Regional Maintenance Manager will report directly to the Director of Maintenance and will be responsible for the management and coordination of maintenance for a fleet of commercial passenger vehicles. The Regional Maintenance Manager will assist in developing and implementation of maintenance quality initiatives and operations. Included with the maintenance will be control of roadside response efforts and overseeing of all regulatory compliance inspections of the organizations fleet.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directly support, mentor and interact with Maintenance Supervisors or Lead Technicians to achieve and exceed performance goals.
- Continually review the maintenance strategy ensuring commercial viability and effective service delivery.
- Participate in reviews and audits as required to verify compliance with all safety/maintenance Policies and Procedures.
- Assist with development of performance goals for the shop as a whole and for individuals. Create and execute action plans associated with those goals.
- Oversee and comply with local NELLC maintenance and safety SOPs, locally applicable public authority legislation, regulation and standards, ensuring that maintenance staff follow them
- Utilize and supervise the local use of NELLC's EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) ERP application, and maintenance facility staff to record and to track local maintenance work orders and parts inventory.
- Manage preventive maintenance and “unscheduled” repairs for the vehicles serviced by this facility.
- Represent the maintenance activity at the local level in its interaction, communication and coordination of activities with other local operations functions: driver care, route operations, and customer care
Skills Required and Physical Demands:
- Experience with compliance with the local applicable DOT compliance of Med / Heavy Trucks
- Prefer ASE Certification as a Master Automotive Technician and/or a Master Truck Technician
- Microsoft Office with robust experience in Excel
- Strong electronic filing, documentation tracking and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and consistent formatting.
- Self-Motivated and driven problem solver
- Multiple years’ experience in transportation, encourage passenger transportation history
- Ability to critically analyze a diversity of labor management/disciplinary issues and work collaboratively with Operations and labor relations specialists to develop strategies/solutions to satisfactorily resolve concerns.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Work experience with mechanical background and aptitude

Education and Qualifications:
- Hard requirements
- 5 years’ Manager experience with fleet management company
Preferred requirements Bachelor's degree in business management, Finance, Logistics, and/or Transportation.
