Regional Maintenance Manager for the Texas Region
Monroe Group is looking for a Regional Maintenance Manager to join our team!
Summary: Reporting to the Director of Asset Management, the Regional Maintenance Manager will plan, implement and review all aspects of property preventative maintenance operations and services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Establish and monitor preventive maintenance procedures in conjunction with on-site maintenance personnel to include preparatory measures for any/all required inspections (i.e. REAC) and safety measures.
- Work with Asset Manager and Operations to establish maintenance standards and programs including scheduling of routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, safety, inventory control, and compliance.
- Ensures quality workmanship and timely implementation of maintenance policies and procedures in the most cost-effective manner, while keeping within compliance guidelines.
- Assist in evaluating current and prospective maintenance-related employees.
- Ensure all Maintenance Shops/Areas are organized, safe, and in professional order.
- Participate in capital forecasting exercises needed.
- Identify potential short and long-term maintenance issues region-wide and at specific communities and research and provide solutions.
- Develop and assist with training programs that will increase the level of knowledge of community maintenance staff and will help achieve regional/company goals and objectives.
- Report specific needs and deficiencies on individual properties to the Sr. Regional Maintenance Manager, Asset Manager, and Operations staff.
- Assist in coordinating purchases of major tools to assure the best quality and price available, especially negotiating costs on parts and supplies used by all properties.
- Become familiar with and abide by all company policies, procedures, and individual community policies.
- Abide by all Fair Housing Laws.
- Any other job responsibilities assigned by your supervisor.
Where is the job located? Up to 75% travel. To be based out of the Dallas or Houston preferably or San Antonio or Austin.

Requirements:REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of five years of Regional Maintenance background overseeing a large affordable housing portfolio.
- Prefer CMM, OSHA, EH&S certifications, and REAC experience.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a fast pace environment.
- Must have the interest and ability to learn and to be trained through continuing education opportunities
- Familiarity with property management software. One Site is a plus.
