The City of Sugar Land is seeking a full-time Recruitment Specialistin the Department of People and Culture.

As a Recruitment Specialist you will be responsible for:

  • The Recruitment Specialist will serve as an applicant's first point of contact and will provide proactive recruitment support to departments across the City, which will include identifying recruitment avenues to attract diverse and qualified candidates.
  • The Recruitment Specialist will also provide hiring managers with guidance related to talent acquisition
  • Daily responsibilities will include posting jobs, reviewing applications, and processing background checks.

The ideal candidate must be extremely organized and able to manage the logistics of multiple duties with professionalism and strong communication skills. In addition, they will have a strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment-both critical for success in the role, as are high levels of accuracy, timeliness and dependability. Ideal candidates will also look for innovative, trailblazing solutions to challenges. We are looking for someone who can establish and maintain effective working relationships within the organization and work effectively with all levels of employees and management.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field from an accredited school or university is preferred.
  • One (1) year experience working in a recruitment role or another related HR-related discipline.

Training (License and/or Certification):

  • Texas Class C driver's license.
