Key Business Objectives:
The Recruiting Manager will execute and implement multiple sourcing methods and strategies to fill current and future position openings primarily focused on the Permian Region. This position is a matrix role reporting to human resources but supporting operations. It will work closely with the Permian Regional Vice President, his leadership team, and members of human resources to attract the best talent to the company. One of the key outcomes of this role is reducing reliance on third-party labor and a focus on building internal USAC talent. The Recruiting Manager will represent the company at career fairs, colleges, technical schools, and the general public in a positive manner promoting USAC as an excellent career destination. Success for this position will be evaluated on both the numbers and quality of hires into the company, as well as developing partnership and trust with operations and safety.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- This position is a hands-on role that develops trust both internally and externally to attract new employees to the company.
- Collaborates with Permian operations and safety leaders to identify critical to fill roles, recruiting activities as well as identifying key talent outside of the company and developing relationships to attract new employees to USAC.
- Collaborate with members of the human resources and safety team to develop a cohesive and sound talent program.
- Exercise independent judgment to develop and execute recruiting strategies and engage with potential candidates.
- Build and maintain a robust candidate pipeline with both compression industry and non-compression industry candidates.
- Understands how to create the "ideal candidate profile" for each role, identifying skills, behaviors, traits as well as employment gaps and red flags.
- Provide insights on market trends, compensation packages, and competitor offerings to help shape the organizations' talent acquisition strategy.
- Register and attend local job fairs, hold job fairs at our office, develop relationships at local trade schools, and colleges.
- Develops community and industry relationships to foster attraction of new employees.
- Conducts exit interviews with employees to help learn about departure opportunities.
- Compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Any and all duties as assigned.

Skills/Capabilities and Education:
- 5-7 proven talent acquisition experience
- Energy sector recruiting experience a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required with an ability to communicate publicly with ease.
- Strong work ethic and proven track record of success.
- Possesses an outstanding set of "headhunter" skills/tools to find candidates using methods such as LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Facebook, Indeed, and more.
- Owns a robust LinkedIn profile, following and network to immediately hit the ground running.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet recruiting goals.
- Sound set of interviewing and assessment skills using accurate, legal and proven techniques, with very solid talent identification abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- SHRM certification and/or other professional recruiting certifications a plus.
- Solid MS Office skills in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Applicant must have the ability to legally work in the U.S.
Working Conditions:
- Periodic lifting requirements of up to 25 pounds may occur.
- Ability to stand and walk, as normally expected in an office setting.
- Ability to travel up to 30% - 50% to Permian Basin including Midland, Pecos and Carlsbad.
- Working conditions are both normal office setting and working/visiting field locations and compression sites.
- Position can be based in Midland, Austin, or Houston, TX
