About Evermore 

Evermore Orlando Resort is an innovative 1,100-acre resort adjacent to Walt Disney World® featuring centrally owned upscale and upsized vacation rental homes, flats & villas, a luxury Conrad hotel, 36 holes of world-class Jack Nicklaus golf, and a massive 20-acre tropical beach complex around Evermore Bay, our 8-acre crystalline water amenity by Crystal Lagoons®. The surrounding beach areas feature zero-entry swim areas, bars, cabanas, private firepits, a lively food hall & gourmet market, a casual dining restaurant, and an event Boathouse that will provide a picture-perfect backdrop for weddings, banquets, and corporate meetings. Evermore is building a team that will bring these experiences to life in 2023 and is seeking individuals that want the challenge of building this exciting resort experience. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Provide exceptional guest service as it relates to Evermore core values: Easy on Purpose, Unexpected Delight, Service Savvy, and Insightful Innovations.
  • Ability to utilize resort software, specific to activities programming, PO/order management, budgeting, P&L management, scheduling, contract management, etc.
  • Exhibiting proper speaking and phone etiquette with the ability to communicate effectively, politely, graciously, and professionally with vendors, colleagues, and guests as it aligns to luxury service standards.
  • Overseeing and partnering with Director & Asst. Director of Activities in the building/generating of vendor contracts and ideas for recreational experiences.
  • Completing daily walk-throughs and inspections of all recreational facilities such as fitness centers, pool decks, beach and cabana areas, as well as indoor and back-office areas to ensure they are well-maintained, and all equipment is in working order.
  • Noting issues/opportunities and effectively reporting these to their responsible departments or related vendors to ensure the matter is addressed and corrected in a timely manner.
  • Following-up and effectively managing timelines of current projects with vendors, colleagues, and/or leadership
  • Supporting the daily operation of the recreation department in all aspects regarding inventory and upkeep of supplies and stock, safety compliance, overall staff management, accurate activities execution, team meeting facilitation, service standard compliance and audits, and overall program development and enhancement.
  • Scheduling of services and overseeing payment distribution for any vendors responsible for preventative maintenance, repairs, or supply of materials.
  • Organize, file, and upkeep any safety-related paperwork such as, but not limited to: MSDS sheets, inspection sheets, opening and closing checklists, certifications for both equipment and staff, warranties, and SOP’s.
  • Execute and provide consistent training for Team Members to ensure they are fully knowledgeable on daily safety procedures and record-keeping.
  • Training staff on the monitoring of safety conditions of the bay, and relay important safety information as it relates to activities, closures, and general cabana safety.
  • Ensuring accurate billing and compliance regarding room charges, credit card payments, and cash/tip handling.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and standard set up of Evermore Bay.
  • Communicate effectively with other resort departments to ensure smooth operations and timely service delivery.
  • All other duties as required by management.

 

Education, Skills, and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Hospitality, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum 2 years in a prior managerial role within a resort or hospitality setting is preferred.
  • Previous preferred experience in risk management, facilities operations, and/or inspection roles.
  • Strong customer service & ability to build and sustain long-lasting partnerships with vendors.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to assess issues in a quick, effective, and efficient manner
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, while working in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to problem-solve and find creative solutions to unexpected challenges, service failures, or guest concerns.
  • Lifeguard and or First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to swim as the team works on and around the water, which in areas can be up to 12’ deep.
  • Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, nights, early mornings, and holidays.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with guests, Team Members, and vendors.
  • Ability to handle guest requests in a calm, detailed, and empathetic manner.
  • Adherence to property and company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and prioritize job duties.
  • Ability to clearly communicate in an emergency to direct guests and ensure their safety.
  • Willingness to adhere to strict regulations and enforce those regulations as necessary

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Able to safely lift, pull and push up to 75 pounds.
  • Excellent physical and temperature endurance to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods of time, and participate in physical activities.
  • Ability to swim in deep water and potentially perform water rescues.
  • Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach periodically.
  • Tolerance for hot and humid Florida weather conditions, especially when working outdoors.
  • Ability to move swiftly and efficiently around the facility, including beach areas, pool decks, and gym facilities.
  • Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills to interact with guests and Team Members.
