Job description

This position is assigned to the Single Sailor Recreation Division; Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department; Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC). The primary purpose of this position is to manage and administer a comprehensive and diverse year round Single Sailor Program which includes the day-to-day operations, development, organization, facilitation, marketing and evaluation of recurring and nonrecurring programs within the Single Sailor Program.Qualifications:

One year of specialized experience directly related to the duties described above. Qualifying experience must have been equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Knowledge of the principles, techniques and methods or procedures used in organizing, planning, administering and conducting a wide variety of recreation activities.
Knowledge of the scope of recreational activities and their suitability for individuals, groups, ages and interests.
Knowledge of current trends in recreation.
Knowledge of marketing and promotion techniques that motivate and encourage program participation.
Knowledge of CNIC's EEO policy and procedures.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
Ability to develop and effectively deliver presentations and/or training.
Ability to influence others in obtaining cooperation and assistance.
Ability to perform the full range of supervisory duties.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
