Position Summary
The Town of Breckenridge Recreation Department is seeking a dedicated and customer service-oriented individual for the position of Recreation Administrative Specialist. This position is responsible for administrative support functions within the Recreation Department and includes business/technical system management, financial management, information management, office equipment management, guest relations, safety, and risk management.
The Recreation Administrative Specialist works in collaboration with staff throughout the department and makes a variety of technical and administrative support services within the guidelines set by the Administrative Services Manager, Assistant Recreation Director, and/or Director of Recreation.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- To qualify for this position, the candidate or employee must pass a criminal background check.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- One (1) year minimum of direct work experience in administrative and/or recreation services encompassing operations, systems, and processes required.
- Computer proficiency required.
- Certification and/or appropriate credentials and proof of study in specialty area of instruction at time of hire.
- Community CPR, first aid, and AED training required within 60 days of hire.
- Preventing disease transmission (PDT) required within 60 days of hire.
- Valid Colorado Driver's license required within 30 days of employment.
- Post-High School higher education desired.
- Two (2) of more years of direct work experience in administrative and/or recreation services encompassing operations, systems, and processes desired.
Additional Information
Hiring Pay Range: $27.00 - $31.00 per hour, $56,160.00 - $64,480.00 if annualized.
Full Pay Range: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour, $56,160.00 - $72,800.00 if annualized.
WORK SCHEDULE
Generally Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm or other times/schedules to meet organizational needs. Individuals in this position must be flexible in terms of availability; and may on occasion be required to work other shifts as needed, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
