Job Description
TDA Research, Inc., a research and development company located in Golden, CO, has a position open for an Administrative and Procurement Specialist. The ideal candidate would have experience establishing and executing focused procurement strategies which align company budgets and objectives with global vendors, clients, and logistic companies. The candidate would have proven ability to develop successful relationships with foreign and domestic suppliers, brokers, customs officials, and transportation companies resulting in rapid service execution. The candidate would be a flexible, self-starter and successful negotiator, who works well under pressure, and is comfortable with changing priorities and assignments.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Request (RFQ) quotes from multiple vendors and summarize bid comparisons
- Request approvals, produce, and issue purchase orders to vendors
- Order parts, materials, equipment rentals, subcontractor services for jobsites domestically and globally
- Track materials and shipments
- Return damaged, or no longer required parts and materials
- Organize and implement modern material control practices and purchasing procedures
- Understand warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures
- Provide customer interfacing for repeat orders and logistics
- Arrange Import and Export of finished and semi-finished goods
- Coordinate with multiple departments to ensure compliance
Required Skills, Abilities and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft platform - PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams
- Must have strong skills in organization and planning, demonstrated ability to work independently, and exercise sound judgment and problem solving
- Professional demeanor, and preservation of confidential information
- Demonstrated flexibility with responsibilities and tasks, and proven ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills, Abilities and Requirements:
- Ability to find alternate qualified vendors; and negotiate best terms, pricing, and delivery
- Creation of procurement policies, processes, procedures, and forms
- Familiarity with chemical shipment procedures and requirements (i.e. SDS)
- Ability to be Hazardous Waste Shipping Certified, domestic and international shipments.
- Ability to track inventory for raw materials and finished goods using an automated database tool
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up 25 pounds.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Hourly Rate: $32.00-$36.00 with the complete benefits package.
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors as education, experience, skill-set, and/or location.
