Tanner's Canine Resort in Waldwick, NJ, the most sought after dog daycare, boarding & training facility in Bergen County, is hiring a part-time FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST to work the following schedule:
- Tues, Wed, Friday 7am - 12noon
- Every other Saturday 8am-6pm
Our dog daycare/training/boarding facility in Waldwick NJ is looking for someone to work the front desk three days during the week from 7am - 12noon. The right candidate must be customer service oriented, be great with people and their dogs, and have the ability to type fast and learn the company software program quickly & efficiently. Experience in a dog daycare/boarding environment is a plus but not necessary. This person must be outgoing, presentable, smart, organized, trustworthy, be great on the phone and have great references.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Customer service oriented
- Able to greet customers with a smile and make them feel comfortable
- Love being around dogs
- Able to multi-task in fast paced office
- Must be tech savvy, and be able to type quickly.
- Must be very energetic, upbeat, & have a positive attitude
- At least 21 years old
- Some college preferred, but not required.
- Reliable transportation to work (not public transportation)
- Punctual
- Neat appearance

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all aspect of the front office operations
- Ability to quickly learn pet software program
- Welcome customers with a smile
- Answer phones and provide excellent customer service.
- Check dogs in/out
- Communicate efficiently with staff
- Ensure a timely opening and closing of the facility
- Make decisions on behalf of dog health and safety
Start right away & earn $16/hour. Tips split among staff.
The right candidate must be fully covid vaccinated. Training will start right away, and may include days in addition to above schedule. However, above schedule will be adhered to as soon as training is complete, usually within 2-3 weeks of start date.
