We are seeking a reliable and friendly Receptionist to join our Metairie, Louisiana forensic engineering team. As the first point of contact for our organization, the Receptionist plays a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for visitors, clients, and staff.
**Responsibilities:**
1. Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the office with a warm and professional demeanor.
2. Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a courteous and efficient manner.
3. Manage the reception area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
4. Receive and distribute mail and packages, as well as handle outgoing mail and courier services.
5. Assist visitors with inquiries and provide accurate information about the company and its services.
6. Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for meeting rooms and engineers.
7. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and photocopying.
8. Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory, placing orders as needed.
9. Collaborate with other administrative staff to balance administrative operations.
**Requirements:**
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
4. Professional appearance and demeanor with strong customer service orientation.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe.
6. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
