Receptionist – Part Time
Toolbox Resources, a dynamic family office located in Boston, is seeking a proactive, courteous, detail-oriented Receptionist to support several investment firms. As the first point of contact for our company, the Receptionist will greet visitors warmly, answer incoming calls, and provide assistance and information to clients and employees. In addition to general administrative and clerical responsibilities, this role will support office operations alongside the Office Manager. Success in this role requires flexibility, resilience, excellent communication, can-do spirit, and a high level of discretion.
Work hours (part-time)
- Preferred: 8:30-2:30 PM Monday-Wednesday
o Additional and differing hours are open for discussion.
- Support of events outside standard hours
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Greet and welcome guests with a positive demeanor as soon as they arrive at the office.
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person or conference room.
- Manage conference rooms.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Ensure all necessary office supplies, food, and beverages are stocked.
- Receive and distribute packages throughout the building.
- Collaborate on projects and tasks with the Toolbox team.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Demonstrated skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in Office Management or Hospitality is a plus.
- Proven work experience as a receptionist or similar role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Demonstrate adept judgement and confidence in decision making.
- Solutions-oriented – focus on results over form.

This position reports to the Office Manager.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
